Tired Little Music Man

Most of you know, or maybe you don't know, that JD is playing Winthrop in the South High Drama Department production of The Music Man. JD has been working his tail off, memorizing lines, learning to sing, learning to dance, and learning to wear tights! (That was a proud moment -- shopping for tights with my son.) He has given up some cub scout activities, missed midweek at church, skipped basketball practice and stayed up late all in the name of "Show Business". Last week he had rehearsal until 9:30 three nights in a row. Sunday he missed the kick-off of the Super Bowl because he was at rehearsal (which caused me to miss kick-off too!). But last night, and probably tonight too, was enough to make any child weary. I picked him up last night at 10:30. He was beat this morning. Tonight they have dress rehearsal again so it will probably be another late night.

The show starts Thursday with performances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings as well as a Saturday Matinee. I can't wait for Sunday to arrive -- for his sake.
