Kay's head inadvertantly came in contact with another little girl's teeth at recess this afternoon. Freeze tag can be a dangerous game! After going to the school and inspecting the injury myself I took her to the doctor and they put 5 stitches in... she's fine and tough. She didn't cry when it happened. She didn't cry when the nurse cleaned it out. Apparently all she said was "Teacher, I'm bleeding". The cut was deep and about 1.5 cm long. She didn't cry, or even flinch, when the doctor gave her a shot. She didn't cry when he stitched it up. The only tears were when I told her she had to leave school...after the procedure, she insisted on going back to school. If only her brother was that tough!
